Donner Summit - July 1, 2006
Sarah and I coordinated our outfits and then drove up to Tahoe early
Saturday morning to meet up with Kirsten and Karl who went up the night
before. Stanley pulled into the parking lot right behind us and a day
of fun and frivolity began. We went to Green Phantom Rock and climbed Phantom Staircase Left (5.8) and Phantom Staircase Center (5.9), Yellow Jacket (5.9), and Road Kill (5.10). Blood
sugar levels went up, then down, then up again... Kirsten got in a bunch
of kicks... Karl doubled over with laughter... Stanley showed support...
and Sarah kept us all in stitches with her boundless energy.

Big Chief - July 2, 2006
After a mellow morning of yoga, coffee and breakfast, we headed out to
Big Chief for the day. We got there in time to do one climb in the shade
and then spent the next 7 hours roasting in the 100 degree heat. We climbed Wampum (5.8), Warpaint (5.8), Warpath (5.9), Too Light to Wait (5.10b) and This Toilet Earth (5.9).
Kirsten and Karl headed back that night and the rest of us followed suit
the next morning.
