Notre Dame Game

It's fall and that can only mean one thing... time for the annual family
excursion to Notre Dame for a football game. This year it was Brad, Elaine,
Judi, Leslie and Pam. It was even more special this year because Elaine
is actually in the Chemical Engineering PhD program at ND. We felt so
legit to be there with an actual student. And we felt much less poor after
staking claims on her floor for the weekend as opposed to paying an arm
and a leg for a crappy hotel room.
Brad worked some eBay magic and scored us tickets ahead of time. And
despite coming from many different directions, we all managed to gather
in the same place at the same time. On game day, we did the traditional
activities: breakfast at Bob Evans, pictures in front of Touchdown Jesus
and Number 1 Moses, watching the players walk from church to the stadium,
listening to the band play on the steps in the quad, monitoring each others
bathroom habits, remembering stories about Gramps and cracking endless
jokes.
It was an amazingly gorgeous fall day and it was just a pleasure to be
outside and in each other's company. To add to the great day, Notre Dame
beat Stanford 31-10. Go ND!
